How does booking work?
Bookings are made through Airbnb or VRBO. Pick your dates there to see availability and your total. You can also email us at TheBlackCabinCA@gmail.com with questions about dates.
How do I pay?
Payment is handled by Airbnb or VRBO when you book, under its terms.
How many guests can stay?
Up to 5 overnight guests. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each, plus a sofa, and extra bedding is available on request.
Is there a minimum age to book?
Yes. The guest who books must be at least 22 years old and stay at the cabin.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, 1 pet is welcome, and there's a big backyard. Assistance animals are always allowed.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check in after 3:00 PM with the keypad, and check out by 11:00 AM.
How is the cabin heated? Is there air conditioning?
Space heaters are provided for heat. Please don't use the wood stove, and bring an extra heater in the colder months. There's no air conditioning, but the coast stays cool.
Is there a washer and dryer?
No, there's no washer or dryer at the cabin.
Are there cameras?
There are exterior security cameras at the front door and back patio only, and none inside.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, the cabin has Wi-Fi.
What is the cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy of the platform you book through (Airbnb or VRBO) applies, and it's shown on the listing before you book.
How far is it to Glass Beach and Mendocino?
The cabin is about 3 miles from town. Glass Beach and downtown Fort Bragg are a short drive, and Mendocino village is about 10 miles south of Fort Bragg.
